Jesse J. Shannon was married to Evelena Dorothy Boettcher in Vancouver, Clark Co., Washington on January 8, 1921.

Services for Jesse Shannon, a resident of this area most of his 69 years, will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Holman-Hankins-Rilance Chapel, with burial following in Mt. View Cemetery. Oregon City BPOE No. 1189 will participate in the service.
Mr. Shannon, who had lived at Mt. Vernon the last three and a half years, died Sunday at the John Day Hospital.
He was born August 28, 1902 at Beavercreek, and lived in Willamette for many years, where he was a member of the volunteer fire department and served on the city council. He retired from his job as a fireman at Publishers Paper Co. in 1964 after 44 years there. He was a member of the Oregon City Elks Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel; two daughters, Wilma Steele, West Linn; Eva Guenther, Oregon City; three step-children, Merle Lagler, Cortez, Colo.; Jack Langler, Mt. Vernon; Irene Damm, Grand Ronde; three grandchildren; two nieces.
