GEORGE WILLIAM BOETTCHER
OREGON CITY -George William Boettcher, 54, 903 Van Buren Street and a resident of the community for the last 35 years, died early Saturday morning at his home following a long illness.
He was born September 4, 1899 in Kiester, Minn. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church where he has been a trustee for many years and of the Pulp and Sulphite Painters Union.
Survivors include the widow, Anna; his mother, Mrs. Kate Boettcher, Oregon City; three brothers, August, Newell, Iowa; William, Albert Lea, Minn.; Walter, Vancouver, Wa.; Six sisters, Mrs. Silvia Sies, Portland; Mrs. Fred Klingbell, Albert Lea, Minn.; Mrs. Jesse Shannon, Willamette; Mrs. Emmett Logsdon, Mrs. Clifford Robins and Mrs. Gilbert Woodward, West Linn.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 27 at 1:30 p.m. at the Trinity Luthern Church. Rev. R.G. Messerli will officiate and vault internment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery. Holman-Hankins-Rilance Funeral Home will have charge of the arrangements.
