WILLARD – Richard Eugene Braegger, 82, passed away at his home on Saturday, April 25, 2009. He was born on July 16, 1926 a son of August Henry and Mary Isabell Neeley Braegger in Ogden, Utah.
Dick lived his entire life in Willard. He attended Willard Elementary, Box Elder High School and Utah State University.
Dick was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He married Cleo Braithwaite on October 1, 1945 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He had served as the Elder's Quorum President, Stake Sunday School President, Stake Missionary and Employment Center Missionary.
Dick enjoyed reading, baseball and basketball. He worked at farming, truck driving, railroading, and at Hill Field and Thiokol. He was a business owner and member of Operating Engineers Local #3.
Dick is survived by his wife, Cleo; children, Cleanne (Kenneth) Barker, Willard, Rich (Debby) Braegger, Jr., Willard, and Rodney Allan (Debbie) Braegger, Lehi; 12 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Wayne, and sisters Lavon and Joyce.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Willard 4th Ward Chapel, 81 North 100 West, Willard, Utah.
Friends may call on Tuesday, April 28, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary 205 South 100 East, Brigham City, and on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Church.
Interment will be in the Willard Cemetery.
