Louisa married William Mann in 1864 and according to the book "History of North Washington" by Richard F. Steele, they had one child, James W. Mann.
Louisa later married Christopher C. Fields in 1870 in Eldora, Iowa and they had four children. Christopher died before 1885 when Louisa, a widow, and her five children (James, age 18, David, age 13, Mary, age 11, John H, age 7 and Hattie, age 4) were counted in the Colorado State Census in Gilpin county.
Some time after that she moved to Washington State where she married James Hunter in Steven's County Washington on January 4, 1899. James founded the town of Hunters in 1880.
Louisa died in 1904 and is buried in Greenwood Park Cemetery near Hunters, Washington by her husband James Hunter and near her parents Hiram and Susannah Carpenter.
