Edwin E. Ames, 83, Paradise R1, died at 2:05 a.m. today in the General Hospital, after an illness of four months.
He retired three years ago as a foreman at the L. J. Denlinger Lumber Co., Intercourse.
Born in Sadsbury Twp., he was the son of the late Franklin George and Hettie Ann Fellenbaum Ames. He was married to the late Mary Trout Ames.
He was a member of the Leacock United Presbyterian Church, Paradise, and the Men's Bible Class.
Survivors include a son, Edward L., Paradise R1; three grandchildren; two brothers, Luther J., York, and Arthur S., New Holland; and two sisters, Miss Bertha M., Lancaster, and Mrs. Florence Lefever, Smoketown.
