D. L. Clark, 82, of Cottonwood Point, Mo., died Tuesday, February 29, 2000 at his home.

Born October 12, 1917 in Russellville, Ark., he was the son of the late Charlie Clark and Lular Barger Clark. He was also preceded in death by a number of brothers and sisters.

He attended schools in Russellville.

Mr. Clark was united in marriage to Ida Mae Abbott on August 19, 1939 in Hayti, Mo.

He operated a general store in Cottonwood Point and drove the R-3 school bus for many years prior to his retirement. Mr. Clark attended the Cottonwood Baptist Church.

Mr. Clark leaves his wife, Ida Mae Clark of Cottonwood Point; one son, Dorsey E. Clark, of Mountain Grove, Mo.; two daughters; Peggy Knipper of Jackson, Tenn., and Phyllis Dean of Apopka, Fla.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Clark were held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 3, 2000 at the Cottonwood Point Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Johnson officiating.

Burial was at the Pemiscot Memorial Gardens with H. S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville in charge.

Pallbearers were Kevin Wilson, Bobby Dean, Clark Dean, Kevin Knipper, Jonathan Knipper and Dave Jean.
