ALTOONA MIRROR OBITUARY
March 21, 1964
IRA M. FREEOf 403 2nd Ave., Lakemont, was found dead on arrival at the Altoona Hospital at 11:45 pm yesterday afternoon being stricken at his home. He was born in Williamsburg Dec. 5, 1889, a son of Samuel Z. and Annabell (Fry) Free, and was twice married, on March 17, 1910, in Hollidaysburg to Margarette A. Hoffman, who died Oct. 13, 1959, and on Aug. 13, 1963, in Lakemont to Mary A. Price. Surviving are his wife, four children, Harold, Mrs. Thelma A. Chamberlin, Mrs. Virginia Socey, and Joseph of Lakemont: twelve grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a half-sister, Mrs Miriam Hannan of Lewistown. He was a member and life elder of the Lakemont Church of God, of the Men's Bible Class, a life member of the Lakemont Fire Company, and retired in 1958 from the Frozen Farms Products Company. Friends will be recieved at the Plank Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg, from 7pm today until 11 am Monday and thereafter at the church.
