Funeral services for Mrs. Velma Finnegan, 60, 178 E. Hill St, who died at 9:10 AM Wednesday, will be held at 2 PM Friday in the Wire-Nicely Funeral Home with the Rev. Glenn Wagoner officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Lawns Cemetery.
Mrs. Finnegan was born April 10, 1903, at Dora, the daughter of John and Flora (Cain) Bowers. She was married to Sam Finnegan, who survives.
The decedent was a member of the Dora Christian Church, Ladies Auxiliary, FOE, Ladies Auxiliary, VFW, City of Hope and the Women of the Moose.
Other survivors include three sons, Howard, New Castle, Raymond, North Manchester RR1, and Roy J., Wabash,; one daughter, Mrs. Richard Gray, Lagro; two brothers, Luther and Everett Bowers, both of Wabash; four sisters, Mrs. Millie Bumgardner and Mrs. Lena Straitiff, both of Wabash, Mrs. Dora Richards, Monroe, Mich., and Mrs. Thelma Wrede, Chicago; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
