He was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church and a retired veteran of the United States Air Force and served in the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife, Nada Adams; four daughters, Brenda Lindsey, Janice Schmidt, Lisa Phillips Westrick and Lynn Phillips Binyon; five grandchildren, Chris Scudder, Nikki Marks, Hannah Binyon, Alexis Westrick and Spencer Westrick; one great-grandchild and seven nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were scheduled for 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 09, 2009 at Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Roy McLeod officiating. Interment will be in Shadowlawn Cemetery. Full Military Honors by the Little Rock Air Force Base Honor Guard.
