Brad Lee Bitner, age 41, of Solsberry, Indiana died Monday, May 4, 2009. He was born June 214, 1967, to Dennis Truman and Frances Lillian Hermes Bitner in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, who survive him. Brad , one of four children, lived in Grand Forks, North Dakota until the age of 2 1/2 years when he moved to Kansas City, Missouri. He attended Miami Grade School near Amsterdam, Missouri and graduated from Madison High School in Madison, Missouri. Brad served his country in the United States Navy for 11 years. After being discharged he worked as an electric technician for Motorola.
Brad enjoyed listening to music, woodworking and watching any kind of sports on television. He had a dry sense of humor and was always up for a good joke. Brad loved his two girls and enjoyed spending time with them.




Memorial services for Brad Bitner will be 1 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri with Brother Charles King officiating. No visitation. Inurnment, Benjamin Cemetery, Amoret, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in honor of Nathan Bitner.

Brad is survived by his parents, Dennis and Fran Bitner of Sargent, Texas; two daughters, Haley Kae Bitner and Lily Anna Bitner of Pflugerville, Texas; a brother, Tad Bitner and wife Julia of Kearney, Missouri; one sister, Kris Schaadt and husband Mark of Quincy, Illinois; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Bitner of Butler, Missouri; maternal grandparents, Gabriel and Edna Hermes of Breckenridge, Minnesota; three uncles, Scott Bitner and wife Julie of Butler, Missouri, Gabriel Hermes and wife Lori of Wahpeton, North Dakota and Calvin Hermes and wife Vicki of Breckenridge, Minnesota; and three aunts, Carol Nelson and husband Odell of Perham, Minnesota, Edna Hingst and husband Lee of Silver Lake, Minnesota and Marilyn Hammett and husband Raymond of Foster, Missouri. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jacob; his grandfather, Truman Bitner; one aunt, Lavonne Boike; and three cousins, Matt, Joseph and Seth.
