Alta L. Triplett, 91, quietly went to her Lord on Saturday, May 2, 2009, at her home at St. Therese Southwest in Hopkins, Minn.
Alta, the daughter of Earl and Ella (Muth) Cooper, was born Nov. 7, 1917, in Bruce. On Sept. 19, 1936, she married Ralph Howard Triplett, who preceded her in death. Their honeymoon was spent with many treasured family members in Beadle County, S.D., and Republic County, Kan.
Alta was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; her only son, John Ralph (January 2009); three sisters, Doris Larson, Marjorie Krubsack and Letha Schmitz; two brothers, Melvin (Bill) Cooper and Glenn (Pinky) Cooper; a son-in-law, Walter Wiberg; and two granddaughters, Michelle and Faye Marie Wiberg.
Alta is survived by a sister, Lula May Popodi of Cudahy; a brother, Donald Cooper of Milwaukee; her daughters, Marcia (Hal) Wiberg-Smith of Duluth, Minn., Cheryl (Willard) Brandt of Warsaw, Ind., and Janet (Mike) Milutinovich of Ladysmith; a daughter-in-law, Teresa (John) Triplett of Chicago; and seven grandchildren, Renee (John) Peterson, Robyn (Greg) Rauen, Nicole (Joshua) Reid, Christopher (Kathleen) Brandt, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Milutinovich, Mark (Allison) Milutinovich and Cynthia Triplett. Alta was proud of her 17 great-grandchildren; and she included many other relatives and friends in her circle of loved ones.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2009, followed by a service at 1 p.m. at Nash-Jackan Funeral Home, 125 W. Arthur Ave., Bruce, with Pastor Linda Shearer officiating. Interment will be in Bruce Cemetery.
