Alma L. Olson, age 87 of 1028 Hillcrest Drive, Chillicothe, IL died Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at 6:45 A.M. at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Chillicothe, IL.
Alma was born on March 12, 1918 in Rover, Missouri the daughter of Allen R. Seley and Attie May (Huddleston) Seley. She married Melvin L. Olson on January 12, 1939 in Fremont, Nebraska. He preceded her in death on December 1, 1978.
Alma is survived by four sons: Jerry (and Huong) Olson of Moreno Valley, CA, Jim (and Cindy) Olson of Peoria, IL, Don (and Ricky) Olson of Chillicothe, IL and Fred Olson of Monticello, IA; thirteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister: Joy VonAchen of Elk Grove, Ca; one brother: Al "Bob" Gordon (and Imogene) Seley of Thomasville, MO; daughter-in-law Barbara Olson of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; thirteen nieces and nephews.
Alma was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Melvin L. Olson; two sons: Melvin A. Olson and infant; and one sister: Helen Daffron.
Alma was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sparland. She was active with her church working with missions and bible school. She taught Sunday school at the First Baptist Church in Chillicothe.
