Rodney Steiner

Rodney Steiner died April 21, 2009.
He was born October 8, 1930, and raised on the Santee Sioux Reservation in Santee, Neb. He owned the Steiner Roofing Co. and retired in 1996. He spent his retirement years participating in Native American Pow Wows and speaking on behalf of Native Americans.
He was preceded in death by son Kurt Steiner, daughter Nancy Steiner, grandson Jimmie Phillips III and his wife of 58 years, Shirley Steiner.
He is survived by daughters Patti Oliver, Cheri Renfrow, Carla Whisler, Pam Minick; son Rodney C. Steiner, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, May 23, at the Emmanuel Family Outreach Center, 7101 Quivira, Shawnee KS 66216.
