TRIBUNE DEMOCRAT AUGUST-3-1939

Mark B. Bradley, one of the county's wellknown and substantial citizens, died at his home near Thomas at 5:30 Wednesday morning of broncho pneumonia. He had been in declining health for several years.
In his younger days Mr. Bradley was active and alert and a successful farmer. He owned one of the best farms in the county. He was president of the Robertson State Bank when it was organized and at one time made the race of Representative of this District.
Mark Brayfield Bradley was born in Nicholas County, Ky., in what is now known as Robertson County April-7-1853.
He was the son of the late Darius and Nancy Bradley. He was married June-21-1869 to Mary Cooper, daughter of Mason Cooper, who survives. To this union 9 children were born. Five are now living, namely Mrs. Grant Brewer, St. Louis, Mo. Mrs. J.W. McConnell, at home, Mrs. William Overbey, Versailles, Ky, Mrs. Grover Layton, Millersburg Ky, Melvin C.Bradley of this county.
He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Kentontown Christian Church Thursday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Byron Carlisle. Interment followed in the Kentontown Cemetery in charge of Kain & Sheeler.
