Betty J. OVERMYER, 82, formerly of 2797 E. 500 North, Rochester, died at 12:05 a.m. Monday at Life Care Center of Rochester, where she lived since Jan. 5, 2002.

Born in Aubbeenaubbee Township of Fulton County, she was the daughter of Daniel and Celia Rinearson Prickett. She graduated from Leiters Ford High School in 1942 and lived her entire life in Fulton County. On Dec. 20, 1942, in Rochester, she married Elmer L. Overmyer. He preceded her in death on March 1, 2000. A homemaker, she attended Richland Center United Methodist Church, Rochester.

Survivors include two daughters, Shawnee Armstrong and husband Lanty,Rochester, and Carla Hackstedt and husband Glenn, LaPorte; four grandchildren, Lanty Armstrong II, Rochester, Lannette Armstrong, Fort Morgan, Colo., Andrew Hackstedt and Cassondra Hackstedt, both of LaPorte. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester, with Dr. C. David Hogsett officiating. Burial will be at Rochester IOOF Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service Thursday. Memorials may be made to Richland Center United Methodist Church.
