Rites For Mrs. Chas. A. May Held Here Sat.

Funeral services for Mrs. Chas. A. May, 83, were held here Saturday, Nov. 2 from the First Baptist church with Rev. M.B. Smith, of Pampa and Rev. Frank J. Ross of Wheeler officiating.

Mrs. May died at her home in Georgetown, Texas, Oct. 31. She was born Jan. 15, 1872 in Gillespie County, Texas and was married Sept. 20, 1892.

Surviving her are five sons, Amos, of Wheeler; Ruben, Pampa, Charles and John both of Round Rock, Tex., and Lucius, Pomona, Calif. Four daughters: Mrs. Mary Wright, Canyon, Mrs. Delia Newsom, Pryor, Okla., Mrs. Alice Newsom, Stillwater, Okla., and Mrs. Ruby Ford, MacFarland, Calif.

Four sisters also survived, they are Mrs. L.L. Welch, Mrs. J.B. Hartsfield and Mrs. Emory Enyaart all of Colorado City, Texas and Mrs. J.S. Barber, DeLeon, Texas, and one brother, Polk Browne of Colorado City.

One son, two sisters and three brothers preceded her in death.

Surviving also are 32 grandchildren and 58 great grandchildren.

Ben Trout, O. Nations, Milton Stiles, Jack Garrison, Terrell Gunter and Bill Owen served as pall bearers.
Burial was made in Wheeler cemetery under the direction of Kirk Funeral Home.
