Dr. John Franklin Gray was the son of John and Diantha (Burritt) Gray. He was the husband of Elizabeth Williams (Hull) Gray. He graduated from the College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1826. He was the first practitioner of Homeopathy in the United States.

John Franklin Gray (23 September 1804 - 05 June 1881) was a medical doctor, educator, and an important medical reformer. He was the first practitioner of homoeopathy in the United States.
