Marine City Jan. 17----Mrs. Lydia Alington (Allington) Lowe, 78 years old, a long time resident of Marine City, died at her home here early today after a short illness. Mrs. Lowe was born in China township July 30, 1842. On October 27, 1860 she was married to Thomas Lowe. Ten years ago they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. Lowe dying two years later.
Surviving Mrs. Lowe are six children: Gordon of Detroit; James of China township; Richard of Priest River, Idaho; Mrs. Grace Baird, Ann Arbor; Mrs. George Hayward, Detroit and Mrs. Calvin Diem, Marine City.
Funeral services will be held at her home, 106 Bruce street, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery.
