WILSON FUNERAL AT 1:30 TOMORROW

The funeral of John C. Wlson, whose death was mentioned in yesterday's World, will be held at 1:30 tomorrow at the residence, corner of Smith Avenue and Grant Street in charge of the Rev. W. H. Smith. Mr. Wilson died at the Bloomington Hospital at 4:30 yesterday afternoon of gall stones. He died in the same house where he and his wife were married several years ago as the hospital was a residence at that time.

Mr. Wilson did not take sick until Wednesday and his condition was so alarming from the start that it was found he was in no condition to withstand an operation. An hour or two before he died he chatted with Mrs. Wilson at the hospital and at that time did not seem to be suffering great pain.

Mr. Wilson was born in Owen County and came to this city about fifteen years ago where he entered the livery business on West Sixth Street with Henry H. Underwood. Later he retired from this business and began to buy
horses, making large purchases for the armies in Europe. Last summer his racing horse, "Colonel M." won first money at nearly all the county fair races in the state and was then sent on a southern circuit where it continued its winning streak. At the close of the season, Wilson sold the horse to an Eastern man for $1,5000.

He is survived by the widow and daughter, Nola, the latter being a student in the high school, also his mother, sister and brother. He was member of the Knights of Pythias at Stinesville and the Moose Lodge this city.

The following will act as pallbearers at the funeral: J. W. Gentry, W. H. Adams, Phillip Hill, Silas Mason, Wall Pauley and Henry H. Underwood. The body will be taken to Chambersville Cemetery in Owen County for interment.

John Wilson, the well known former stock dealers and a former liveryman, is in a very serious condition in the city hospital. Dr. Noble was here last night but feared to operate and an effort will be made to build up Mr. Wilson's condition so that he can stand the ordeal. The trouble is both with his bowels and gall stones.

Later--Mr. Wilson is dead.

MARRIED AND DIED IN SAME ROOM

A pathetic incident in the life and death of John C. Wilson, the prominent citizen whose sad death took place last week, was that he was married and died in the same room. Twenty-eight years ago Mr. and Mrs. Wilson were married in what is now the city Hospital and what was then the home of Absolem Ketcham. When he was taken to the hospital a few hours before his death Mr. Wilson recognized the room he had been married in and remarked to his wife that they had started life together in that room and that he feared the parting would take place in the same place.
