Axel was born Axel Johannesson 13 November 1883 at Brålanda, Älvsborg, Sweden. His parents were Johannes Ericksson and Maja Kajsa Olsdotter. Axel was received as a member of Trinity 15 April 1900, the same date as his confirmation. He was the only one of his family who appears in the first church register. His membership was dismissed in 1904. The rest of his family later became members and appear in the second church register. Axel married Eleanor Larson in 1921. They were married in St. Paul and made their home there until 1934 when they moved to North Branch. Axel died at the Cambridge Nursing Home 4 April 1961. He is buried in the Trinity Cemetery.
