Clarence Anderson,79, of Kankakee, died Monday (March 29, 1999) at Riverside Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Wednesday until the 3 p.m. services at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais.
Burial will be in St. Anne Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
He was born Dec. 27, 1919 in Chicago, the son of Anton and Sophia Sorensen Anderson.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the Army.
Mr. Anderson was a retired employee of Illinois Fabricators. He had also been a truck driver.
Surviving are his wife, the former Pearl O'Lena, whom he married May 30, 1942 at St. Anne Catholic Church; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Kathy Anderson and Ronald and Joyce Anderson, all of Monticello, Ind.; one daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and Roger Benjamin of Bourbonnais; one sister, Helen Clement of St. Anne; one brother, Walter Anderson of Alpena, Mich.; and six grandchildren.
Deceased are two sisters, three brothers and one grandson, Troy Anderson.
He enjoyed playing cards and was a Cubs fan.
