Edwin (a.k.a. "Edward") was the son of Warren A. & Martha A. (Harkins) Dulin & he grew up on a family farm in Norwich Township, Franklin County, OH. In January of 1885, Edwin was married to Elizabeth May VanDyke. Edwin & "May" reportedly parented five children between the years of 1886 & 1900: Franklin "Frank" Warren Dulin, Charles Clinton Dulin, Edna Mae Dulin, Clifford William Dulin, & Clara Marie Dulin. Prior to 1910, Warren moved his family to Iowa and can be found listed on the 1910 Federal Census (indexed as "Edward S. Dulin") living in Bath Township, Cerro Gordo County, IA. On the 1920 Federal Census, Edwin (indexed as "Edward L. Dulin) can be found living on Jackson Street in the town of Greene, Butler County, IA. Edwin then listed his occupation as "railroad section foreman."
