Death of Mrs. Stoner

One of Walnut Township's Best Women Dies Suddenly at 70 Years

Last Friday night occurred the death of Mrs. Margaret Stoner, widow of the late Reuben Stoner, at the home of her son-in-law, Frank Haines, three miles northwest of Mystic, aged 70 years. Mrs. Stoner has been in declining health for several years, and although sudden, her death was not unexpected. The funeral was held from the home last Sunday, the services being in charge of Rev L. Shaffer, who preached a brief sermon, touching upon the many good qualities of the departed mother, who was always known as a kind and gentle mother, a patient and loving wife and a Christian woman. At the conclusion of the service not a dry eye was to be seen among the large number of friends and relatives who had gathered to pay their last respect to the dead. The remains were interred in Walnut Creek cemetery. Mrs. Stoner leaves five children to morn their loss.
