MRS. LEVI LANDESS BURIAL IN FILLMORE CEMETERY

Nancy Narcissus Buie, daughter of
William and Elizabeth Buie, was born at Marshall, MO, February 22, 1860, and passed away at her home in Fillmore July 16, 1943, at the age of 83 years, 5 months and 24 days.

She was united in marriage to Levi Landess 29 Sep 1878 in Johnson Co., MO, (Actually Johnson Co has no record of Marriage) and came to Andrew County to make their home and have lived there every since. To this union nine children were born, three children having preceded her in death. Mr. And Mrs. Landess observed their sixty-second wedding anniversary before Mr. Landess preceded her in death March 23, 1942.

Those surviving are as follows: W. A. Landess of Savannah, S. E. Landess of San Yeldro, Calif., Mrs. Mattie Profitt and Mrs. Agnes Cole of Fillmore, Charles P. Landess of Mound City and Burl Landess of Savannah. Four granddaughters and seven grandsons, four of them in service; nine great grandchildren, one half sister, Mrs. Mattie Collins of Rosendale and one half brother Warner Buie of St. Joseph and other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Landess gave her life to Christ early in life and lived a faithful Christian life. She was an earnest worker in all church work and a faithful, loving mother. Funeral services were held at the Church of God, Sunday afternoon, July 18 by Rev. W. G. Mink. Burial was in the Fillmore Cemetery
