Anne Gorman emigrated to America with her sister Mary in 1882. They came from Gorteen in Co Sligo, the Province of Connaught. She was married at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Brooklyn in 1884. Her husband James Francis Lennon died at age 36. He is buried at Holy Cross Cemetery Brooklyn, NY. Ann was widowed at the age of 31. She moved her 4 children to DC. to be near her sister Mary F Dowd's family. Annie Lennon lived in D.C. until her death in 1930.
