Mr. Jerome "Jerry" A. Fay
age 87, of Romulus, MI, passed away Friday, May 1, 2009 at Oakwood Hospital-Heritage Center, Taylor, MI. He was born May 23, 1921 in Ohio, son of the late Jenner & Florence (Brown) Fay. Jerry proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a life-long Belleville Area resident. He was a long-time member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and enjoyed volunteering in everything he could to help Father Skoney. He was an Usher and a member of the Men's Club as well. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by 5 children Carol (Jerry) Zaremba of Tennessee, Sandra (Allen) Bargerhuff of Indiana, Jerry Fay of Romulus, MI, Lori Fay of California and Patricia Fay of Texas, 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, five siblings Joe Fay of Monroe, MI, Shirley Younce of MI, Helen (William) Gilincki of MI, and Robert (Rita) Fay of MI, also numerous nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Stella Fay on March 6, 2000, two sisters Margaret and Joann, also two brothers Harold and Jimmy.
Visitation will be Sunday 5-8 PM and Monday 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM with a 7 PM Rosary to include a Time for Sharing hosted by Deacon Peter Cornell, all at the DAVID C. BROWN FUNERAL HOME, Belleville, MI. Closing Prayers will be 10:30 AM Tuesday at the funeral home, processing to St. Anthony Catholic Church, 409 W. Columbia Ave, Belleville, for an 11 AM Funeral Mass with Father Thomas H. Cusick as Celebrant.
Interment will be in Michigan Memorial Park, Flat Rock, MI. Memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association and would be greatly appreciated by the family. Please sign his guest book on-line for them to keep.
