Earl M. Atteberry
Earl M. Atteberry, 90, died Sept 16, 2000, at Hutchinson Hospital. He was born Sept. 25, 1909, at Wray, the son of Guy Madison and Grace Birks. A Hutchinson resident since 1941, moving from Great Bend, he was a retired Dodge automobile dealer. He belonged to First United Methodist Church, Hutchinson. On Oct 24, 1933, he married Zelpha Grace Scott at Dodge City. She died Aug 21, 1995. Survivors include: a son, Lary J., Pinecliffe, Colo; three brothers, Duane, Payson, Ariz, Darrel and Arlis, both of Larned; two sisters, Eva Hiett, Denver, and Velma Gish, Lyons; two grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Gerald, Clifford and Glenn Atteberry; and a sister, Marjorie Buck. Funeral service will be at 10:30 am Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel. Friends may call from 9 am to 9 pm Monday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Hospice of Reno County in care of the mortuary.
