Mrs. Edna Mae Hickoff died [in Warren State Hospital, Warren, PA], Sunday morning [13 April 1958] after an illness of almost four years.
She was born January 4, 1892, the daughter of the late Erwin and Alberta Dukeman Schaefer [daughter of Irwin L. and Alberta Weaver Shaffer Dukeman and step-daughter of William D. Dukeman]. She was married to Edgar H. Hickoff, who preceded her in death [on 24 Dec 1949].
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church [of Emporium] and the Lady Margaret Rebekah Lodge, which conducted memorial services at the Coppersmith Funeral Home, Tuesday evening.
She is survived by four children: Homer, Syracuse, NY, William and Edgar, Emporium, and Mrs. M.L. Bowser (Edna), Roselle, NJ. A [step] brother and [step] sister survive: Frederick [Dukeman], Philipsburg, and Mrs. Mitchel Hoover [Emily], Winburne; [also a half-brother and two half-sisters] Donald Dukeman and Mrs. Emil Isaacson [Vivian] both of Winburne, and Mrs. Edgar Schaeffer [Margaret Dukeman Sheffer] of Kylertown.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon [16 Apr 1958] at the Coppersmith Funeral Home with the Reverend Samuel Regester, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment was made in Newton Cemetery.
