Arrington died Jan. 30, 2005, in Garrison Nursing Home, Garrison.
Born Nov. 10, 1929, in Garrison, he was the son of Franklin Robert and Leona Little Arrington. He had been employed with Indian River Poultry, and he was a member of East Main Church of Christ. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served during World War II and the Korean conflict. He was married to Ruth Mary Melton, and she preceded him in death.
Survivors include sons, Shannon Ray "Shak" Arrington and Shane Smith "Rusty" Arrington, both of Garrison; brothers, Carl Bryant Arrington of Houston; sisters, Lula Pollard of Garrison and Marcille Gipson and Joyce Lavelle, both of El Paso; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
