Funeral for Delthy Ray Arrington, 75, of Garrison will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Garrison Funeral Home Chapel, Garrison, with Ellis Reynolds, Church of Christ minister, James Robert Arrington, minister at Rusk Church of Christ, and Shannon Arrington of East Main Church of Christ in Nacogdoches officiating. Burial will be in Holly Springs Cemetery.
Arrington died Jan. 30, 2005, in Garrison Nursing Home, Garrison.
Born Nov. 10, 1929, in Garrison, he was the son of Franklin Robert and Leona Little Arrington. He had been employed with Indian River Poultry, and he was a member of East Main Church of Christ. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served during World War II and the Korean conflict. He was married to Ruth Mary Melton, and she preceded him in death.
Survivors include sons, Shannon Ray "Shak" Arrington and Shane Smith "Rusty" Arrington, both of Garrison; brothers, Carl Bryant Arrington of Houston; sisters, Lula Pollard of Garrison and Marcille Gipson and Joyce Lavelle, both of El Paso; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
