She worked as a saleslady at J. C. Penney in Prosser until her retirement in 1951. She was a member of the Prosser Methodist Church where she was active in the Women's Society for Christian Service. She also was busy with the Women's Club and Chautauqua (a book study club).
In 1962 she moved to Tacoma where her daughter's family lived and soon became active in church (Mason Methodist), Women's Club, and the African Violet Club. Her final years were at Cottesmore in Gig Harbor.
