Rites Held For Bert Endicott

Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Booth-Bollman chapel for Bert Endicott, of Lostine, who passed away at Wallowa Memorial hospial Friday afternoon, April 30, 1954, following an illness of several days. Rev. john Munsey officiated, and music was furnished by mrs. garnet Best and Mrs. R.D. Kay who sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Beyond the Sunset." Burial was in the Prairie Creek cemetery, and pallbearers wre V.O. Daggett, Carol Phapp, Lloyd Quinn, Odell Marr, henry Mitchell and Earl Pinkley.

Son of William C. and Mary J. Endicott, he was born in Union county, December 27, 1879 but had lived most of his life in Wallowa county where he farmed and worked with livestock. He had never married.

Among his survivorts are three sisters: Mrs. Clyde Sullivan of La Grande; Mrs. W.E. Ruckman, of Alicel; and Mrs. May Hodson, of Newberg, Ore.
