Was born Chloe Melinda Whitaker on 7 May 1868 in Pontusooc, Hancock county, Illinois, and was adopted by the Van Syckle family sometime after her parents Mary Sophia Sanford Whitaker and Solomon Whitaker died in 1873 and 1874 in Williamtown, Lewis County, Missouri. She later Married Victor P. Agee. Her Brothers are Edgar Delcar Whitaker, Valdemar Theodore Whitaker, Clarence Lee Whitaker, Frank Elmer Whitaker.
