Mrs. Lula T. Council, 87, entered into rest Monday, April 27, 2009 at Keysville Nursing Home and Rehab Center.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at 5:00 P.M. at Blythe Baptist Church with Rev. Roy "Buddy" Frierson, Jr. and Rev. Richard Dendler officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Council was a member of Blythe Baptist church where she was a Sunday School Teacher, Church Secretary, Bible School Director and WMU Director. Mrs. Council was the wife of the late Robert Council and the daughter of the late Montford Trowbridge and Lula Queen Trobridge.
Survivors include her children, Martha Blizzard, Peggy Jordan, Alice Reeves and rosalee Bertucci, all from Blythe, RGA; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Council is preceded in death by her son, Andrew Sly Council and her daughter, Barbara Ann Council.
Pallbearers will be Carl Jordan, Ashley Jordan, Larry Reeves, Jr., Victor Bertucci, III, Johnny Hohlwein, Tommy McGlohon, Steve James and Dalton Jordan.
