Edward A. Boulduc was born Dec. 17, 1920, the son of Theodore and Ann (Grumbo) Boulduc, in Drayton, ND, where he attended school. He worked with his father in the scrap iron business. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He returned to Drayton and worked for farmers in the area. He married Frances Chester on Oct. 28, 1952, in St. Thomas, ND. They farmed in Halma, MN from 1961 to 1970, when they moved to Grafton. He worked for Carpenter's Union, Grand Forks, until retiring in 1983. He was a caretaker for St. John's Cemetery and helped area farmers until 1996.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Fran Coulthart, Mary (David) Hills and Irene (James) Olson, all of Grafton, ND; and Beverly (Darrell) Graber, Tacoma, WA; sons, Richard, Rapid City, SD and Mike (Marlene), Grafton; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Anderson, Grand Forks; and brothers, Charles (Evelyn), St. Thomas, ND; James (Jean), Drayton, ND and John, in Oregon.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Leo, Morris and Lawrence; and sisters, Josephine, Helen, Delores, and two infants.
Services: Saturday, December 4, 1999, in St. John's Catholic Church, Grafton.
Burial: St. John's Catholic Cemetery. Military Rites: Grafton American Legion Post No. 41.
