James Andrew Tucker died early Sunday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Mazie McLain here after a six-month illness. He was 90. Services will be at 2 PM Monday at the Wesley's Methodist Church near Adamsville (Nixon, Hardin County, TN) with the Rev. Troy Outland officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Home of Savannah in charge. Mr. Tucker was born and spent most of his life in Hardin County. He moved to Adamsville nine years ago. He was a retired farmer and a Methodist. He leaves two other daughters, Mrs. Minnie Barnett and Mrs. Gazelle Riddle, both of Savannah; a sister, Mrs. R. L. Hall of Tyronza, Ark.; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
