Per Pennsylvania Marriage Certificates, on Sep 14 1910 in Venango County, Mamie Knox of Bully Hill, 22, daughter of Jeremiah and Mary Knox, married James W. Brown of Bully Hill, in the lumber business, 22, son of Madison and Sarah Brown; first marriage for both.

Daughter of William and Margaret Knox Whitesell, she married James W. Brown, was divorced, lived at 808 Buffalo Street, Franklin, died in Franklin Hospital of acute pneumonitis, arteriosclerotic dementia, and advanced arteriosclerosis, per death certificate 044229-68, whose informant was Dr. Manson Brown, 1263 Elk Street, Franklin. Buried Apr 17 1968.

Mrs. Mamie H. Brown of 808 Buffalo Street died at 9:25 am today in Franklin Hospital. She was born at Congress Hill April 29, 1888, daughter of William and Margaret Hailett Whitesell.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Surviving are children, Dr. Manson Brown and Mrs. Donald (Gladys) Wilt, with whom she lived, both of Franklin, and Mrs. William (Anita) Sheridan of Clarion; 5 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services for Mrs. Mamie H. Brown, 79, of 808 Buffalo Street, who died Monday morning in Franklin Hospital, will be at 11 am Wednesday in the First Baptist Church with Rev. John A. Harrington, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Congress Hill Cemetery.
