Minerva was the daughter of F. M. Gott and Elizabeth Hill. In 1887 in Craighead County, Arkansas, Minerva married Ben Ishmael. The family moved to Indian Territory (now Oklahoma) in 1906. Minerva and Ben had the following children in order of birth: Alberta Elizabeth, Joseph Howard, Evelyn A., James Luther, Jesse Franklin, Myrtle Mae, Clara Hester, Gladys Jeanette, Monta Louise, Theodore "Ted," and Calvin Perry.

Thank you for the work you have done. I came across this during my research. I wanted to let you know that the information on Minerva's mother and father is incorrect. I am aware that it is in the book, Remembering Arcadia. However, that information is not correct. Her father was actually Benjamin Franklin Gott and the mother was Elizabeth McKnight. I will try to go through my copies of census documents, and other materials if you need me to. I just wanted to advise you on this - perhaps because I am not 52 years old, but I remember how upset my grandmother, Monta Louise, was when she say the Arcadia book with the incorrect names.
