Daughter of John Lankford Herndon, a lawyer and judge in Lebanon, MO. She had but one sister, Lucie Jane HERNDON Bradfield. Mollie and Charlie "CC" Palmer had four children, the story goes that the eldest son Charles Howard, fell from a horse and died in his late teens. (But he died of typhoid.) Mollie, it seems, did not like having her picture taken - the only photo that I have where we are certain of her identity is this group - but assented to this grouping of the family on vacation. She is in the largest hat (center). My Grandmother (Helen PALMER Robertson is next to her (left).
