Mrs. John (Martha) Ryle, 77, of Route 1, Aquilla died Thursday afternoon in West Community Hospital.
Rosary was recited at 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Kotch Funeral Home Chapel in West. Requiem mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, Rev. George Doskocil as celebrant. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Mrs. Ryle was born in Taylor and lived most of her life in Bandera County, where she married John Ryle on Nov. 3, 1915. She had lived in the West and Aquilla area for the past 10 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Boyd of Route 1, Aquilla; a daughter, Mrs. Loyd (Lola) Jones of Route 5, Waco; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Marquis of Hondo and Mrs. Viola Cavitt of Weatherford; five brothers, Cleothas Hermes of Bee Branch, Ark., Augustine Hermes of San Antonio, Ernest Hermes of Hondo, Clarence Hermes of Three Rivers and Oscar Hermes of Conway, Ark.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
