Power County Press, American Falls, Idaho. Vera Anderson Bronson, June 3, 1922 – December 17, 2007. Our dear mother and grandmother passed away Monday, Dec. 17, 2007 at St. Benedict's Hospital in Jerome, ID, after valiantly battling cancer for 23 years. She died due to complications from her last surgery in November. She was born June 3, 1922 in Cardston, Alberta, Canada to Axel Wilhelm Anderson and Myrtle Elizabeth Morris Anderson. She was the youngest of four children. She grew up in Taylorsville, Alberta, Canada having many happy memories of her childhood. She graduated in 1941 from Cardston High School. She then attended Calgary Normal School and received her teacher's certificate in 1944. She taught grade school in Canada until 1948. On her way down to summer school at Brigham Young University, she met Arthur Eugene Bronson from Sterling, ID. They were married July 7, 1948 in the Cardston, Alberta LDS Temple and resided in Sterling. The winter of 1948, she taught grade school at the Grandview School. Vera and Arthur had three children, Valdene, Lynn and Keith. They moved to Aberdeen in 1961. She had a supervisory position at the Experimental Station and the Processing Plant in Aberdeen. She was also a custodian at Aberdeen Elementary until she retired in 1987. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She held many positions including Primary President, Beehive teacher and Ward Single Adult Representative. She loved music, collecting tea cups and being with her family. She compiled many beautiful family history books that her family will always treasure. She loved attending her great-grandchildren's school programs and spending time with her many cherished friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur, her parents, her brother Leo Anderson and sisters Luella Lybbert and Myrtle Neilson.

She is survived by her daughter Valdene Pratt of Jerome; two sons, Lynn Bronson of Aberdeen and Keith "and Diane" Bronson of Idaho Falls; six grandchildren, Va Leen Henderson, Lee Pratt, Janilee Pratt, April Pratt, Elizabeth Ochs and Jeph Bronson; three step-grandchildren, Steele Beringer, Lindy Beringer and Tyler Tetley; and 14 great-grandchildren. We will all miss her beautiful smile and positive attitude. The funeral will be held at the LDS Church in Aberdeen on Saturday, Dec. 22, at 10 a.m., with the viewing at 9 a.m. that morning at the LDS Church.
