Mrs. Chas. Clayton died at her home in Ross Township at 3 o'clock a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12, 1895. The funeral services were conducted from the M. E. church at Siam last Saturday and the remains were laid to rest in the Buchanan cemetery.

Siam - On Thursday morning Sept. 12, 1895, Mrs. C. [harles] A. [ddison] Clayton passed to that bourn from whence no traveler returns. The funeral services were held on Friday, Sept. 13, at 2 o'clock p. m., at the M. E. church, conducted by Elder Campbell, after which the remains were interred in the Siam cemetery. She leaves a husband and three children to mourn her loss. When death came her eldest son was in Neb. He was dispatched to, and he and his uncle, Ora Clayton, arrived here on the early morning train Friday, in time to attend the funeral.
