Mrs. Elizabeth Hankes, 82, 266 High St., died Thursday. She was born in Germany, Dec. 2, 1874.
She is survived by four sons, Herman of Plano, Paul and Ray of Sugar Grove and Don of Fox Lake; four daughters, Mrs. Herbert (Anna) Komhaus [Klomhaus] of Sugar Grove, Mrs. Sidney (Leona) Stansel, and Mrs. Steve (Betty) Fidler, both of Aurora, and Mrs. Lloyd (Helen) LeMaster of Chicago; 23 grandchildren; one great grandchild, and one sister, Mrs. John Weiland of Aurora. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas.
The funeral will be held from Daleiden's High Street Mortuary Saturday morning at 9 o'clock and from St. Nicholas Church at 9:30 o'clock, the Rev. Fr. Daukas officiating. Interment will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at the funeral home by St. Anne's Society of St. Nicholas Church at 8 o'clock this evening. Friends may call at the mortuary at High and Liberty Streets.
