Luther Davis
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Cairo funeral home chapel for Luther Davis, 88, who died at his home in Cornwallis Wednesday.
Mr. Davis was born in Newport the son of Sanford and Amanda Francis Davis. He lived in Cornwallis for more than 60 years.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Roberta Griffin Davis, and the following children, Ralph Davis, Vernetta Ambrose, and Victoria Bunner, Cairo Route 2, Homer Davis of Cornwallis, and Eva and
Emmit Davis at home. Also surviving is one sister Mrs. Anna Price of Pullman.
The body was removed from the Cairo funeral home to lie in state at the home of his daughter Mrs. Victoria Bunner and will be returned to the funeral home one hour prior to the services.
The Rev. Carl Wolfe of Cairo will officiate and burial will be in the Pisgah cemetery.
