Mr. Martin was born Sept. 24, 1898 in Oklahoma County, Indian Territory, and died Tues Oct. 4, 1988 in his home in Westville. He married Ethel Arnold on Aug. 18, 1918 in Locust Grove. He was a retired carpenter and farmer and was of Baptist faith.
Survivors include two sons, John L. Martin of Westville and James Martin of Santa Cruz, CA; 5 daughters, Margaret Hitcher and Bennie Faye Ball both of Westville. Mary Garney of Fort Jones, CA, Marilyn Massey of Watsonville, CA and Rita Haworth of Salinas, CA.
