SNOUFFFER, JOHN H. On Thursday, November 10, 1960. at his home, 702 Lanark way, Silver Spring, Md., JOHN H. SNOUFFER, husband of Julia F. Snouffer and father of Mrs. James O. Williams, Mrs. Wesley C. Clark. George B. Snouffer, Mrs. Roy L. Talbott. Mrs. Frederick Preinkert and Mrs. Gerhard A. Adler. He also is survived by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Snouffer rests at the Warner E. Pumphrey Funeral Home, 8434 Georgia ave. ,Silver Spring, Md.,. where services will be held on Saturday, November 12, at 11:30 a.m. (parking facilities). Interment Parklawn Cemetery. Friends may visit the above funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.

John Snouffer, Retired Farmer, Dies at 94

John H. Snouffer, 94, a retired Montgomery County farmer, died yesterday after a heart attack at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Fred Preinkert, 703 Lanark way, Silver Spring.

A native of Frederick County, Md., Mr. Snouffer lived most of his life in Montgomery County. He owned a large farm near Gaithersburg.

The Snouffer School and Snouffer School road near Gaithersburg bear his name. Mr. Snouffer's father first settled the land which Mr. Snouffer later took over and farmed until his retirement 10 years ago. At that time, he and his wife, Julia, moved to live with their daughter in Silver Spring.

Mr. Snouffer was active in the Episcopal Church of the Ascension In Gaithersburg and St. Stephen and the Incarnation Episcopal Church, Sixteenth and Newton streets N.W.

Besides his wife and daughter, he also leaves four other daughters. Mrs. Gerald Adler of 4410 Everett street, Kensington, Md.; Mrs. Wesley Clark of 857 Northampton drive, Silver Spring; Mrs. James Williams of 4850 Park avenue, Bethesda, and Mrs. Roy Talbott of Gaithersburg.

He also leaves a son, George, of Laytonsville Md.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Walter* E. Pumphrey Funeral Home 8434 Georgia avenue, Sliver Spring. Burial will be in Parklawn Cemetery.
