Olive (Gaymon) Yale was born November 7, 1883 at Middle River, lowa. Her parents, Charles N. and Ella May Gaymon were long time residents of lowa where they engaged in farming. There were five other children in the family including Olive's twin brother Oliver P. Gaymon. All of her brothers and sisters have preceded her in death. Olive (Gaymon) Yale passed away at Montrose, Colorado on July 19, 1978.
Olive Gaymon attended Simpson College in Indianola, lowa where she majored in a commercial course. On September 7,1906 she married Francis Rae Yale and the newlyweds engaged in farming in lowa. In 1912 she and her tusband moved to Colorado and farmed in Routt County near Sidney, Colorado until her husband's death on August 24, 1932. She Continued fanning and operating the home ranch until 1936 when she sold and moved to the Denver area where she was employed in several greenhouses raising flowers until she retired.
Four sons were born to the Francis R. Yale family including Miles V. Yale who was killed in an auto accident in 1952 on Loveland pass; Francis G. Yale who recently retired as a science professor at Arizona State University, Tempe, Arizona; Byron C. Yale, retired Certified Public Accountant, Gunnison, Colorado; and Wayne O. Yale of Englewood, Colorado.
Olive Gaymon Yale is survived by her three sons and their families, 20 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
