Barbara, age 70, passed away unexpectedly at her home. Barbara was born the daughter of Linda and Arley (Kemmer) Nesson. She married Bernard G. Stein on April 4, 1959, at the St. Paul University Chapel in Madison. Barbara was always devoted to her family and her children. Survivors include her husband, Bernard of Madison; three children, Linda (Walter) Burkhalter of Burnett, WI, Lisa (Michael) Van Dyke of Neenah, WI and Bernard Jr. (Stefanie) Stein of Sun Prairie, WI; 11 grandchildren, Bethany, Benjamin, Rebekah, Samuel, Micah and Abigail Burkhalter, Katrina, Nicole and Melinda Van Dyke, and Trevor and Alexandra Stein; a sister, Grace Forsmo of Verona, WI; and a brother, James Nesson of Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Arthur. Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, Madison with Monsignor Michael Burke celebrate. Burial was at the St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery in Verona.
