James G. Wall of Hewitt, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 28, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Bro. Reggie Blake and Bro. Harley Gordon officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 27, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey.

Jim was born in Corinth, Miss., to the late Ulysses and Onie Wall. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He retired from the military as a CW2 after 23 years. He went on to serve on the Corinth Police Department and retired as a Captain. After moving his family to Texas in 1980, he worked at Richland Mall as Director Of Public Safety, where he retired in 1993. Woodworking was always one of his favorite hobbies. Jim has been a lifelong Baptist and a member of Beacon Hill Baptist Church in Waco. While Jim is loved by many, he will be missed by all!

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ulysses Grant and Onie Wall; sisters, Dorothy Gray, Evie Wall and Allie Mae Wall; and a brother, Russell Wall.

He is survived by his wife, Marie "Ree" Wall, of Waco; daughters, Sandra Franks and husband, Scott, of Waco, and Lisa Tucker, of Hewitt; sons, Steven Wall and wife, Lynda, of Corinth, Miss., and Jeffery Wall and wife, Michelle, of Waco; grandchildren, Sam Franks, Mandy Garcia, Mollie and Grant Wall, David, Sara and Ashley Tucker, Tisha Busch, and Jeffery, Stephanie, Justin, Ginny and Elizabeth Wall; and great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Annie, Maggie and Gus Franks, Eric and Audrey Busch; sister, Betty Wilbanks, of Corinth, Miss.; and brother, Nelson Wall, of Corinth, Miss.
