ANDERSON, JESSE LEON
age 88, of Luttrell, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2008 at the Ben Atchley State Veterans Home. Mr. Anderson was a member and deacon of Mountain View Church of God in Luttrell. A Veteran of the U.S. Army, he was retired from the City of Alcoa after 45 years of service. Preceded in death by his first wife, Edna Mae Wilburn Anderson along with several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Mary Alma Anderson of Luttrell; daughters, JoAnn Bell and husband, Randall of Cedartown, GA, Julia Shipman and husband, Larry of Knoxville, Janie Powers and husband, Richard of Louisville; sons, Jesse Louis Anderson and wife, Geraldine of Louisville, Johnny Estes Anderson and wife Janie of Knoxville, Robert Lynn Anderson of Knoxville, Larry Thomas Anderson and wife, Regina of Friendsville, and James Jack Anderson of Maryville; 14 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Maggie Wilburn and Katherine Ward both of Maryville; several nephews and nieces. A funeral service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with Reverend Paul Thomas Hughes officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel. The family will have a private gathering with close friends from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Sunday. Full Military Honors will be presented by the East Tennessee State Veterans Honor Guard at a private interment service on Monday.
