Louise Penland married Isaac H. Bailey in 1875.
On December 22, 1927, Black Mtn., Buncombe County, N.C., Louise Penland Bailey, a widow, died at the age of 77.

She is also recorded as Louiza on the 1860 and 1870 Census'. According to the history, the Penlands and the Baileys were very prominent families in the Yancey County area. When Milton died, Louise and Isaac took over most of his property (some of which later became Penland, NC) and businesses.
